UNPRI Faculty of Economics Brainstorming with Bangkok University to Establish Strategic Collaboration

Strategic Discussion for Cooperation on Double Degree Programs, Joint Degrees, Joint Research, and International Conferences

In an effort to strengthen its international positioning, the Faculty of Economics at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) initiated strategic communication with Bangkok University, Thailand. A recent virtual meeting served as an initial discussion platform to build academic and institutional synergy between the two universities.

The meeting specifically discussed comprehensive collaboration opportunities, including the development of double degree and joint degree programs, joint research, and joint international conferences. The discussion was open, focusing on realistic cooperation forms for both medium and long-term implementation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fajar Ananda Lubis, S.E., M.S.M., Dean of the Faculty of Economics at UNPRI, emphasized that international cooperation is part of the faculty's commitment to improving education quality. He stated that the collaboration with Bangkok University is expected to provide real international academic experience and strengthen students' readiness for global challenges.

Bangkok University welcomed UNPRI's initiative and expressed interest in continuing the discussion to a more technical stage. Both parties engaged in interactive discussions regarding credit transfer mechanisms, academic system harmonization, and potential faculty and student exchanges, supporting SDGs 4, SDGs 17.

Moving forward, both parties agreed to continue communication and prepare MoU and MoA as the basis for cooperation. This partnership is a vital step toward opening broader opportunities for students and faculty within the global education network.
