FKKGIK UNPRI Clinical Pharmacy Study Program Becomes Role Model for Preparing OBE-Based RPS Curriculum
The UNPRI Clinical Pharmacy Study Program has become a national pilot in implementing Semester Learning Plans (RPS) with Outcome Based Education (OBE) standards to improve the quality of pharmacy education.

Medan, UNPRI – The Bachelor of Clinical Pharmacy Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences (FKKGIK) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) has been selected as a role model for the development of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based Semester Learning Plans (RPS). The Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activity for the RPS development was held in Room 1618, 16th Floor, UNPRI Campus, on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
The event was attended by UNPRI Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs and Information Systems, Dr. Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., along with team members Yeni Rafita Sihombing, S.Pd., M.Sc., M.M., Depitaria Br. Barus, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Rismadayanti Waruwu, S.Kom. Also present were Dr. dr. Irza Haicha Pratama, M.K.M. (Vice Dean I of FKKGIK), and several heads of study programs across UNPRI, including Medicine, Medical Profession, Public Health, Dentistry, Master of Public Health, Master of Biomedical Sciences, Midwifery, Nursing, and their respective professional programs.
The RPS presentation was delivered by apt. Astriani Natalia Br. Ginting, S.Farm., M.Biomed., Secretary of the Clinical Pharmacy Program, using the course Gastrointestinal Pharmacotherapy (2 credits) as an example. She explained that there are 16 structured steps in developing an OBE-based RPS, starting from determining the 16 learning topics to defining the Study Materials (BK).
Meanwhile, apt. Razoki, S.Si., M.Kes., M.Biomed., M.H., Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Study Program, explained that the OBE curriculum focuses on achieving specific and measurable learning outcomes for students, covering three main domains: Cognitive (C), Affective (A), and Psychomotor (P), referring to Bloom’s Taxonomy.
“In developing this RPS, we adopted a holistic approach by integrating Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) with Course Learning Outcomes (CPMK) and Sub-Course Learning Outcomes (SCPMK), along with Learning Methods (MP), Assessment Indicators (IP), Assessment Time (WP), Learning Topics (TP), and Study Materials (BK). The process involves an in-depth evaluation of the existing curriculum and a comprehensive restructuring to ensure alignment with OBE principles. We hope this best practice can be shared and inspire other study programs within UNPRI, especially those in health sciences,” said Razoki.
