UNPRI, Medan – Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) continued its Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) on its second day. The event took place in the mini hall on the 10th floor of the UNPRI campus and was led by the Faculty of Science and Technology (FAST), led by Prof. Ir. Bhakti Alamsyah, Ph.D., Dean of FAST. All Heads of Study Programs at FASTFAST were also present, and were introduced one by one, including the Heads of Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Visual Communication Design (DKV), as well as staff members on the committee chaired by Vice Dean III, Dhanny Rukmana Manday, S.T., M.T.

Prof. Bhakti Alamsyah gave an important message to the new students: they should be diligent and disciplined in their studies from the start. According to him, high-achieving and competent students will be absorbed by the industry. Conversely, if you're still unemployed after graduating, it's not solely the institution's fault, but rather a lack of determination and commitment on the part of the student, from the start of college through completion. This message is especially addressed to those aspiring to pursue a career in engineering, given the high industry demand for skilled engineering personnel.,

Dhanny Rukmana Manday added that preparations to welcome new students have been thorough. All FAST study programs are involved in developing the curriculum, laboratories, practical facilities, and administrative arrangements so that students can immediately experience a supportive learning environment. "We hope that new students will take advantage of all available facilities and opportunities and adhere to campus regulations to ensure optimal learning," he said.

The Faculty of Science and Technology (FAST) at UNPRI has various advantages that attract prospective students. FAST has excellent accreditation and has graduated many alumni who have achieved Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) according to their respective study programs. The advantages of practical facilities are also evident: the integration of practical work through campus facilities such as teaching hospitals, campus apartments, and campus malls as additional practical units, facilitates students' hands-on skill development in the field.

Each study program at FAST offers its own uniqueness and advantages: Industrial Engineering educates students in optimizing production systems, supply chain management, and industrial efficiency. Information Systems focuses on data management, application systems, and the digitalization of business processes. Electrical Engineering and Informatics Engineering excel in mastery of hardware and software, IoT, embedded systems, and software and hardware development. Architecture emphasizes functional design, aesthetics, and sensitivity to the environment and sustainability. Civil Engineering prepares students in infrastructure development, construction engineering, and structural and geotechnical engineering. Visual Communication Design (DKV) provides creative space in visual communication, multimedia, graphic design, branding, and creative content.
