UNPRI FIESTA 2012/2013
Unpri Will Produce Smart Youth
Former North Sumatra Provincial Secretary Dr. RE Nainggolan who attended as an invitee, is confident that Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri) will produce young people who are intelligent, reliable, and have Human Resources (HR) who can later build the nation. This was expressed by RE Nainggolan at the Unpri Fiestra National Cultural event, Saturday (13/10) night at Hermes Palace Polonia Medan.
At the celebration of Unpri's 11th anniversary and welcoming new students for the 2012/2013 academic year, RE Nainggolan hopes that Unpri can maintain its excellence in the world of higher education. Moreover, Unpri is famous as a multi-ethnic university, which does not discriminate between tribes, religions and nations.
"Hopefully in its 11th year, Unpri can develop," said RE Nainggolan convincingly.
Present at the event were the Advisor, dr. I. Nyoman Ehrich Lister, M. Kes, AIFM, Head of BPH Unpri Tommy Leonard SH MKn, Rector of Unpri Prof. dr. Djakobus Tarigan, AAI, DAAK, Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. drg. Monang Panjaitan, MS. Advisor, dr. I. Nyoman Ehrich Lister, M. Kes, AIFM, in his speech stated that he will continue to develop Unpri to be more advanced. So that our youth can study on the campus. "We all understand that education is closely related to the future of youth. Youth must have ideals, if you do not have ideals then you are no longer included in the category of youth, because you are considered dead before you die," he said while saying, therefore youth must hang ideals as high as the sky, because great ideals will drive great change in this country.
I. Nyoman revealed, research shows that education determines the attitude of youth to see the future, youth who do not get the opportunity to continue to higher education consider their future to be bleaker, because the lack of human resources is an obstacle to achieving success, on the other hand for youth who have the opportunity to continue higher education, they are optimistic about a better future.
"Therefore, education plays a big role in bringing the Indonesian nation towards a bright future," he said.
"Therefore, education plays a big role in bringing the Indonesian nation towards a bright future," he said.
As we know, said I. Nyoman, the gross participation rate of higher education in Indonesia is around 18.5 percent to 25 percent. The data differs from the independent team and the Ministry of Education and Culture, meaning that the number of young people in college is around 25 million people, but young people who have the opportunity to go to college are around 4 million people. According to him, this slows down the progress of the Indonesian nation and is a problem in development towards a just and prosperous country.
This time, I. Nyoman hopes that the young people present will study seriously and hang their ideals as high as possible. Then, be optimistic, behave well and be grateful, because you have the opportunity to study at a university which is a bridge to your dreams.
Unpri Fiesta National Cultural is also enlivened by various art performances, attractions and the final night of Mr. & Ms. Unpri 2012.
