Mr. & Ms. Unpri 2012
A happy day for Hari Ongko and Ruspa. Both were selected as Mr. & Ms. Unpri 2012 at the Unpri Fiesta National Cultural selection event at Hermes Palace Polonia Medan, yesterday.
Hari Ongko, a student of the Faculty of Psychology Unpri and Ruspa, a student of the Faculty of Dentistry Unpri, were selected after undergoing a three-stage selection. The first stage of selection was a written test on general knowledge, the second selection was an achievement and communication test, and the third stage was during quarantine.
"The selection of Mr. & Ms. Unpri is an annual event that is held to find students' interests and talents," said the Head of the Committee, Agi Pratama to reporters, Tuesday (16/10).
Agi said that quarantine is a training event for participants in the fields of modeling, entertainment, and talent development before entering the grand final.
The assessment of participants is based on their pure abilities. The jury team consists of professionals in their fields, namely Heriyanti, SH. MKn, Rianda Elvinawaty SPSi, MSi, and Adrey Saragih.
In this case, Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri) channels the talents and interests of students. As a multiethnic university and campus that cares about improving the quality of education, one of its activities is to direct students to positive activities such as the selection of Mr. & Ms.
"In adolescence, students need support for diversity values. Because we are all worried about the development of teenagers who are tired of negative things, such as brawls, wars between school gangs, or other unproductive activities. This activity is a means for students to channel their interests and talents while preventing them from these negative activities," said Agi.
