UNPRI Improves Student Quality in Generative AI Field

NVIDIA together with Komputer Medan has established a strategic partnership with three leading universities in Medan City, including Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI), Institut Bisnis IT&B, and Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) Medan. This collaboration aims to strengthen Indonesia's digital potential with a focus on the development of artificial intelligence, which is demonstrated through workshop activities and talk shows themed 'AI Dunia dan Anda'.

At UNPRI, the workshop activities that took place in the Main Hall of the UNPRI Sampul Campus on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, managed to gather around 1,200 students and lecturers. The presence of UNPRI Vice Chancellor III, Dr. Said Rizal, marked the commitment of this university in presenting technological innovation into the education curriculum. He appreciated the collaboration with NVIDIA as a real step in adapting to the latest developments in the world of technology.

"Collaboration with industries such as NVIDIA allows UNPRI to not only follow, but also become the main driver in the application of AI technology in the educational environment," said Dr. Said Rizal.

Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology UNPRI, Prof. Ir. Prof. Bhakti Alamsyah, MT., Ph.D., added that UNPRI has strengthened its accreditation status by creating new innovations in AI-based teaching.

"UNPRI has a strong commitment to preparing students with the knowledge and skills needed to face this digital era. The collaboration with NVIDIA not only enriches our curriculum but also opens up opportunities for further collaboration in research and development of AI technology," said Prof. Bhakti Alamsyah.

Adrian Lesmono, Country Consumer Business Lead Indonesia at NVIDIA, emphasized the importance of using AI technology in increasing productivity and efficiency in various sectors, not only the creative industry but also in practical everyday applications. NVIDIA, as a pioneer in developing GPUs for AI since 2006, continues to push the boundaries of AI technology possibilities across various computing platforms, including over 100 million PCs worldwide. In the view of Anjas Maradita, a Content Creator and Corporate AI Consultant, the use of NVIDIA RTX technology has significantly changed the way it works. This technology not only accelerates the creative process, but also improves the quality and efficiency of content production.
