Universitas Prima Indonesia Achieves Excellent Institutional Accreditation
Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) achieved a proud achievement by obtaining superior accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). The determination of this superior accreditation occurred after UNPRI underwent a field assessment on Saturday, May 4, 2024. This decision was announced through decree No. 510/SK/BAN-PT/Ak/PT/V/2024, which was issued on May 7, 2024.
This achievement confirms UNPRI's position as a university with a superior predicate, achieving the highest strata in accreditation assessment. This superior accreditation is an acknowledgment of the high standards held firmly by UNPRI in the fields of education and learning, as well as a commitment to improving the quality of higher education. The importance of this superior accreditation lies in its role in improving university governance in the future and a form of appreciation for the quality of learning and institutional governance that is very superior.
In addition to being a marker of the university's internal quality, superior accreditation is also important in strengthening UNPRI's image in the eyes of the public. This accreditation also functions as a tool for evaluating the university's overall achievements. One of them is the ease for graduates in finding work in various companies and government agencies. With this accreditation status, UNPRI graduates will be more in demand by companies and have a greater chance of proceeding to the interview stage in the job recruitment process.
Prof. Syaiful Anwar Matondang, Ph.D., Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region 1, acknowledged that UNPRI has successfully carried out educational transformation. This happened thanks to the full support of the founder and rector, which enabled the implementation of digital education transformation at UNPRI. According to Prof. Matondang, the relevance of higher education is very important in facing the challenges of the times, preparing the next generation of the nation to become part of a future society based on science.
UNPRI is currently the only private campus in Sumatra that organizes study programs from diploma, professional, undergraduate, master's to doctoral levels, including specialist doctors with a total of 44 study programs on the Medan campus. UNPRI's achievements are also reflected in the opening of the Study Program campus outside the Main Campus (PSDKU) in Pekanbaru City with 4 study programs, as well as plans to add undergraduate, master's, and specialist study programs in the future.
This achievement is an important milestone in UNPRI's journey to continue to contribute to improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia. In addition, this step is also a preparation to prepare a young generation who have high competitiveness on the global stage. UNPRI is committed to achieving the next target, which is to obtain International Accreditation.
