The Patent One Stop Service is an innovation that is expected to provide convenience for universities, research and development institutions (R&D), and business actors in terms of intellectual property protection. This service includes several stages, starting from patent description writing training, patent consultation, to patent review and certification, and finally the handover of patent certificates to participants who have successfully passed the patent registration process through this service. The handover of patent certificates by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) to certificate recipients is an important moment in recognizing and appreciating achievements in the field of discovery and innovation.
The patent award is concrete evidence of how the contributions of academics at Universitas Prima Indonesia are appreciated by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. UNPRI is committed to maintaining this achievement and enriching it further in the future. Patent certificates are expected to motivate other lecturers to conduct research that produces innovations that have the potential to obtain patents in the future, not just scientific publications.
Patents are not only a formal recognition of innovation, but also have a broader impact. In addition to providing exclusive rights to innovators to produce and sell related products, patents also encourage community service through the application of innovation in solving social, environmental, or health problems. In addition, patents facilitate technology transfer through business incubators or cooperation with industry, which in turn can generate significant benefits for the general public, both in terms of the economy and in improving the quality of life.
