UNPRI's Active Role in the Tridharma of Higher Education: LPPM UNPRI Holds Internal Socialization
Socialization of 2023 Research and Community Service Grants (BIMA)
As evidence of the real role of Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education, especially in terms of research and community service, the UNPRI Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) held an internal socialization on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. The event "Socialization of Research and Community Service Grants 2023 (BIMA)" held virtually via zoom meeting and hosted by the Head of LPPM UNPRI, Edy Fachrial, S.Si., M.Si., CIQAR. The event was attended by representatives of the Dean, Head of Study Program, Head of Bureau/Institution, and permanent lecturers at Universitas Prima Indonesia.
Research and Community Service are an inseparable part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Higher education institutions are obliged to organize education, research, and community service as mandated in Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning National Education Article 20.
Research in Higher Education aims to develop science and technology (IPTEK) and improve the welfare and competitiveness of the nation. Then, Community Service in higher education is an activity of the academic community in practicing and cultivating science, knowledge, technology to advance public welfare and educate the life of the nation.
In his presentation, Fachrial explained that the type of research grant refers to the Technology Readiness Level (TKT), the level of maturity or readiness of the results of research and technology development that is measured systematically so that it can be used by users. Then, to prepare the account and research proposal, researchers must first synchronize the SINTA and BIMA accounts and will be guided by the LPPM team.
Moving on to the Community Service (PKM) scheme, there are several models of research grant schemes, namely community partnership empowerment, entrepreneurship-based empowerment schemes, area-based empowerment schemes and vocational partner empowerment schemes. This research is expected to involve a multidisciplinary research team and active student contributions.
