UNPRI Accompanies Barusjahe Community, Innovation of Kusuk Karo Oil
Assistance for Innovation of Traditional Herbal Products Oukup and Kusuk Karo Oil.
Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) was trusted to collaborate with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture and the Indonesian Rectors Forum (FRI) in the 2022 National Mental Revolution Movement (GNRM) program. The topic is increasing the economic independence of Barusjahe Village through mentoring the innovation of traditional herbal products oukup and kusuk Karo oil. The activity was carried out from August to October.
The Unpri GNRM Team began the activity with a preparatory meeting, a packaging workshop for souvenirs typical of Karo Regency, the formation of MSMEs and promotions, a meeting to prepare outputs and final reports, and tree planting. Received support from RSU Royal Prima Medan and Prima Dental and Oral Hospital to hold eye, dental and non-communicable disease health checks.
"We received full support in implementing the GNRM program and will continue under the guidance of the UNPRI Innovation Development Institute," said UNPRI Chancellor Prof. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, quoted from the release, Monday (10/31/2022).
The Head of Barusjahe Sub-district, Debora Morina Br Barus, expressed his gratitude and was ready to help make the program a success. Likewise, the Acting Head of Barusjahe Village is ready to invite his community to take part.
All GNRM activities in Barusjahe Village were attended by 91 participants consisting of lecturers, students, the PKK team, the community, the spiritual team from the women's community group, elements of the Karo Regency Government and campus representatives.
