Karo Health Office Partners with UNPRI to Enhance Healthcare Worker Qualifications

A Tangible Form of UNPRI's Commitment to Supporting the Standardization and Improvement of Healthcare Service Quality in Karo Regency.

Healthcare professionals in Karo Regency are receiving a strong push to enhance their educational qualifications to deliver superior public services. This initiative was highlighted during a coordination meeting held by the Karo Regency Health Office with heads of community health centers (Puskesmas) and medical representatives at the Health Office Hall, Kabanjahe, on Wednesday (11/1/2026).

The meeting was led by the Head of Karo Health Office, dr. Immanuel Sinuhaji, Sp.PA, who emphasized that improving human resource (HR) quality is the primary key to fast, precise, and equitable healthcare. He stated that service quality does not rely solely on physical facilities but is heavily determined by the competence of healthcare workers in the field. In this forum, a strategic collaboration was established with Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI).

"Facilities are important, but HR quality is far more decisive. Formal education will strengthen clinical, managerial, and community service skills. Through our partnership with UNPRI, we offer a flexible lecturing system designed to be worker-friendly, allowing healthcare personnel to continue their duties at Puskesmas while pursuing their education," asserted dr. Immanuel Sinuhaji, Sp.PA.
