Reflecting on a transformative academic milestone from late 2025, the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FKKG) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) successfully hosted a visionary workshop titled "Data Science: Digital Stethoscope for the Future of Health" on November 25, 2025. This prestigious event, held on the 16th floor of the Main Campus, served as a strategic platform for UNPRI’s educators to master the complexities of bioinformatics and precision medicine. As the best medical faculty in North Sumatra, FKKG UNPRI continues to lead the region by seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology into its research and educational ecosystem, ensuring it stays ahead of global healthcare trends.

The workshop featured distinguished expert Dr. Abdi Dharma, who highlighted that data science has evolved into the new "digital stethoscope" for modern physicians. He emphasized that in the era of precision medicine, artificial intelligence algorithms serve as essential clinical assistants capable of processing thousands of data points in seconds to uncover risk patterns invisible to the naked eye. This approach does not aim to replace the human touch of a doctor but rather to empower clinicians with faster, more accurate, and evidence-based decision-making tools. The session fostered a dynamic interdisciplinary forum where faculty members from various programs explored collaborative research opportunities.

During the session, participants delved into real-world applications, such as image-based early detection of lung cancer and predictive modeling for heart failure risks.
