Strengthening Digital Mindset and Gen Z Leadership Through a Public Lecture at Universitas Prima Indonesia

UNPRI Faculty of Economics held a public lecture titled "Digital Mindset, Digital Leadership: The Role of Gen Z as Future Leaders." The event featured Dr. Yusuf Ronny Edward as the speaker, who highlighted that technological mastery alone is not enough for the digital native generation.

“Gen Z is the generation most familiar with technology, but to be effective leaders, they must develop a true digital mindset. This is a growth-oriented, innovative, agile, adaptive, and collaborative way of thinking. This is the real human capital that will bring extraordinary value to organizations in the future,” he explained enthusiastically.

The lecture also delved into Situational Leadership, emphasizing that successful leadership must be contextual and flexible.

“There is no single leadership style that fits all situations. A future leader must be keen in reading conditions... then flexibly apply the most appropriate approach, whether it is directing, coaching, supporting, or delegating,” said Dr. Yusuf.

Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fajar Rezeki Ananda Lubis, emphasized UNPRI's investment in character building. This initiative aligns with SDGs 4, SDGs 8, and SDGs 17.

“We want UNPRI students to not only excel academically but also possess mature leadership character... This public lecture is one of our investments to form superior and sustainable future leaders,” stated Dr. Fajar.
