ICEBesMA 2025: UNPRI Strengthens International Academic Collaboration through Conferences, Research Publication, and Community Service

Integrating Scientific Conferences and Research Publications for Global Social Impact

Medan – Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) successfully organized The 3rd International Conference on Economics, Business, Management, and Accounting (ICEBesMA) 2025. This international conference is part of UNPRI's strategic efforts to strengthen the global research ecosystem and academic collaboration, held at the UNPRI Socio-Technopreneurship Campus in Medan.

Themed “New Economic Order and Impact on Sustainable Development: Challenges and Pathways Forward,” ICEBesMA 2025 served as a platform for in-depth discussion on global economic dynamics, geopolitical shifts, trade conflicts, and business digital transformation in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). The event was attended by hundreds of academics, researchers, and practitioners from home and abroad.

The conference featured prominent speakers, including Dr. Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, S.E., M.E., the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Republic of Indonesia, as the keynote speaker. International experts such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulnaidi Bin Yaacob from Universiti Sains Malaysia and Dr. Kajal Ramnanun from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, also shared their insights. They discussed strategic issues ranging from macroeconomics and sustainable accounting to socially impactful business digitalization.

Beyond the plenary sessions, ICEBesMA 2025 featured research poster exhibitions and parallel hybrid presentations. A total of 129 papers from various institutions were presented. These research findings will be published in reputable proceedings and journals such as Atlantis Press, UNPRI Press, and other national and international journals indexed by DOAJ. To show appreciation, the committee presented awards for the best scientific work, presentation, and poster.

The ICEBesMA 2025 series concluded with a tangible international community service action: restocking 5,000 tilapia fingerlings in Lake Toba, Samosir Island. This activity reaffirms UNPRI's commitment to integrating academic agendas with environmental conservation, in line with its support for SDGs 4, SDGs 17.
