UNPRI Strengthens Cross-Sector Collaboration, Signs Strategic MoU with Industry Partners at the Opening of the 2025 International Conference

Through the organization of the 2025 international conferences involving 9 UPPS (Education and Work Unit Implementing Units), Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) once again asserts its presence on the global stage for a week, from November 10–14, 2025, at the excellent socio-technopreneurship UNPRI campus, Jalan Sampul No. 3 Medan Petisah.

This prestigious academic activity is not only a forum for cross-national knowledge exchange but also an important momentum for UNPRI to strengthen strategic partnerships with various industrial institutions, professional and industry associations, and partner universities from abroad.

MoU Signing with National Strategic Partners

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UNPRI and national-scale professional and industrial associations took place in the Main Hall on the 10th floor of the UNPRI Campus. The event was conducted directly by the UNPRI Rector, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginring, M.Kes., AIFO-K., witnessed by the Chairman of the UNPRI Daily Supervisory Board, Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, SH., M.Kn., and the leadership ranks of UNPRI's network hospitals, namely Dr. dr. Wienaldy, MKM., MQM., Sp.KKLP (K) (Director of RSU Royal Prima Medan), dr. Nurul Aplah Wizaya Syahputri, M.Biomed. (Director of RSU Royal Prima Marelan), Dr. Dentistry. Florence, MHSM., MPH., C.Ort., FICCDE. (Director of Prima Dental and Oral Hospital), and Dr. dr. Muhammad Faridz Syahrian, MKM. (Director of Prima Vision Eye Hospital). Prof. Dr. Arfianti, M.Biomed., M.Sc., Ph.D. from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Riau, also attended as an honored guest.

In this historic opportunity, UNPRI established cooperation with three strategic industry and professional partners, namely the Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI), Capital Global, and HR Community.

This MoU signing symbolizes a strong synergy between the academic and industrial worlds, in line with UNPRI's spirit as a socio-technopreneurship university that continues to develop research and innovation oriented towards the needs of the community and the global workforce.

Rector's Vision: Global Social and Economic Impact

The Rector, who currently leads 9 faculties and 57 study programs at UNPRI, expressed appreciation in her speech for the support of all partners in strengthening the collaboration network. “We welcome this strategic partnership as a concrete step towards UNPRI World Class University. Through cross-sector collaboration, we believe that the various ideas and research born from the campus will have a real social and economic impact, both nationally and internationally,” she stated.

The MoU signing was part of the official opening of four international conferences held by UNPRI this year, namely The 2nd ICOLIFEMED 2025, The 3rd ICEBesMA 2025, The 1st IFPLE 2025, and The 1st ICTIDE 2025. The activity features speakers and participants from various countries such as Japan, Malaysia, China, Australia, India, and Turkey. In addition to the opening session, traditional dances presented by UNPRI Creative students and a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) with Chiba Institute of Science Japan, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Toyama University, Nanjing Medical University, China, and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) were also presented.

Network Strengthening and Publication Targets

Also attending to witness the MoU event were the Head of LLDIKTI Region I North Sumatra, Prof. Drs. Saiful Anwar Matondang, MA., Ph.D., academics, researchers, and the UNPRI academic community, who filled the room. Their presence affirmed full support for UNPRI's commitment to expanding its academic and professional network at the international level. This year, the conference aims to gather over 3,100 participants, 405 papers, and 57 scientific posters that will be published in proceedings indexed by Scopus and WoS.

Through this momentum, UNPRI continues to strengthen its position as an internationally competitive university capable of bridging the academic and industrial worlds. This strategic MoU signing is a concrete step for UNPRI in realizing a collaborative, innovative, and globally impactful higher education ecosystem.
