dr. Sofyan Tan Gives Socialization of the Four Pillars of Nation and State at UNPRI

Member of the People's Representative Council (DPR) / MPR RI for the 2014-2019 period, Dr. Sofyan Tan, provided a socialization of the four pillars of the nation and state at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI). One of the community leaders of North Sumatra (Sumut) who is currently actively involved in the national arena, appeared enthusiastic when holding a socialization of the four pillars of the nation and state in front of students and the entire academic community of UNPRI, on Friday (9/10) yesterday at the Multipurpose Hall on the 5th floor of the Royal Prima Hospital (RS), Jalan Ayahanda Medan.

The event was attended by UNPRI Advisor Dr. RE Nainggolan, M.M., UNPRI Chancellor Prof. dr. Djakobus Tarigan, AAI., DAAK., along with the rectorate staff, deans, lecturers and students. The socialization was warm and full of enthusiasm, considering that the material presented by the national figure from the PDIP-P Faction was very important to provide a fundamental understanding, for the integrity of the nation and state about Pancasila as the basis of the state, the 1945 Constitution (3) NKRI as a non-negotiable price and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.

In addition to the core material, Sofyan Tan also shared various stories and the bittersweet experiences of his life, as a child from a very simple family, born into a Chinese ethnic family, but all of that did not hinder his steps to become a useful figure and spread goodness, for others, even to the point where he became one of the Chinese ethnic Indonesian citizens who succeeded in sitting in Senayan.

In addition to the core material, Sofyan Tan also shared various stories and the bitter experiences of his life, as a child from a very simple family, born into a Chinese ethnic family, but all of that did not hinder his steps to become a useful figure and spread goodness, for others, even to the point where he became one of the Chinese ethnic Indonesian citizens who succeeded in sitting in Senayan.

Even many of his constituents and sympathizers are mostly located in lower-class settlements and underdeveloped areas, which are indigenous people.

Sofyan Tan also said that what he has been doing for decades developing the world of education, helping the poor and adopting foster children is a form of his love for the nation, regardless of ethnic background differences.

"Loving this nation is not just a ceremony, but must be done with real actions that can touch all levels of society," said the bespectacled man convincingly.

dr. Sofyan Tan, who is also a member of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives, emphasized that UNPRI students must be able to implement the four pillars of nation and state, in every aspect of life, both in the family environment, campus and surrounding community.

He hopes that UNPRI, which is known as one of the campuses that carries the concept of multi-ethnicity, will one day produce future leaders who will determine the fate of this nation.

Sofyan Tan's statement was responded to positively, marked by the emergence of many questions in the question and answer session with students at the end of the event. Several UNPRI students seemed enthusiastic to follow the motivation and example of Dr. Sofyan Tan to be able to benefit the wider community.

The event was closed with the symbolic handover of socialization packages in the form of bags and material books to students, followed by a group photo.
