Royal Prima Medan Hospital-YSKI Socialization and Health Service in Silima Lombu Village

Royal Prima Hospital Medan in collaboration with the Indonesian Surya Sejati Foundation (YSKI) and Geopark Activists, Thursday (30/7) carried out socialization of the Toba Caldera Geopark towards the UNESCO GGN in Silima Lombu Village located on the coast of Onan Runggu District, Samosir Regency. In the socialization, free medical treatment was also carried out for the community, in the form of general medical treatment and distribution of free reading glasses, as well as the provision of additional food and milk to children served by doctors from Royal Prima Hospital led by Deputy Director of Medical Support of Royal Prima Hospital Medan Dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, doctors from YSKI led by drg. Annita and dr. Horas Rajagukguk, SPBD.

YSKI Supervisor Dr. RE Nainggolan, M.M., said that there will be many benefits to the community if the Toba Caldera has been accepted as a UNESCO GGN, including community empowerment through existing groups, environmental conservation, and world tourist visits that have increased manifold.

For that, said the advisor to the University of Prima Indonesia (Unpri), the community must be ready, especially the Silima Lombu Village which has several characteristics, including the location of the house facing the lake, friendly residents and many fruit plants in the village. "And I have seen a map made before the Dutch era, that the Silima Lombu Village was already on the map, so it is an old village," he said.

Meanwhile, Gultom, the Village Head, welcomed the activity and expressed his gratitude to Geopark activists in particular, to the Royal Prima Medan Hospital which socialized BPJS health.

Also present at the event were the Head of Onan Runggu District, Drs. Darwin Parhusip, Dr. RE Nainggolan, M.M., dr. Ali, drg. Annita, dr. Horas Rajagukguk, SPBD., Indra Hutauruk, Jadi Pane, SPd,. and community leaders from Onan Runggu and Simanindo Districts.
