UNPRI Faculty of Science and Technology Officially Opens Master of Computer Science Program, Preparing Digital Talents to Face the AI Disruption Era

Medan – The Faculty of Science and Technology (FAST) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) has achieved a historic milestone. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology No. 293/B/O/2026, FAST UNPRI is officially authorized to open the Master of Computer Science Study Program. This postgraduate program is a major milestone in UNPRI's effort to strengthen an adaptive and globally competitive technology education ecosystem. This proves UNPRI's commitment as a campus that continues to innovate in facilitating student talent.

The Master of Computer Science program at FAST UNPRI is designed with a future-oriented curriculum, especially in facing the AI 5.0 era. Two strategic concentrations — Computer Vision and Data Science — are the most relevant fields to current global technology developments. This Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum equips students with technical mastery as well as critical and innovative thinking. This initiative shows UNPRI's role in producing competent and high-quality graduates.

The excellence of this program is strengthened by integrated international programs, such as International Research Mobility. FAST UNPRI has established strategic collaborations with international universities, including UniMAP and UCSI University in Malaysia, to expand research access for students.
