Aceh Regional Police and UNPRI Sign MoU, Hosting a Public Lecture on Local Wisdom in Law Enforcement

UNPRI's Commitment to Strengthening Legal Education and Strategic Partnerships for Humanistic Justice.

Medan – Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI), which has established its position as the Best Private University in North Sumatra, held a Public Lecture themed "Polda Aceh Meutuah: Local Wisdom in Maintaining Security and Law Enforcement" on Thursday (Mar 12, 2026). As a top-tier educational institution, UNPRI continues to strengthen its academic quality, evidenced by UNPRI's Faculty of Law, which has achieved "Unggul" (Excellent) Accreditation for all its study programs, from Bachelor (S1), Master (S2), to Doctoral (S3) levels.

This activity featured the Aceh Regional Police Chief, Irjen. Pol. Drs. Marzuki Ali Basyah, M.M., as the keynote speaker, with Dr. Rizki, M.Kn., Head of the Bachelor of Law Program at UNPRI, as moderator. The event was attended by 600 students and UNPRI leadership, including the Chairman of the Daily Governing Board Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, Vice Rector I Dr. Abdi Dharma, Vice Rector II Prof. Dr. Ermi Girsang, and Vice Rector IV Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, along with deans and heads of programs within UNPRI.

Vice Rector IV of UNPRI, Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, in his speech, expressed appreciation for this strategic lecture. "Higher education is a center for the formation of science and moral responsibility; we hope that students not only know the theoretical aspects of law but also understand the social dynamics in society, especially how local wisdom can be part of fair and humanist law enforcement," he said. This statement reinforces UNPRI's dedication to continue to innovate in producing competent and high-quality graduates.

The Aceh Regional Police Chief explained how the Aceh Regional Police integrates local wisdom values in maintaining public order and law enforcement. This public lecture was also an important momentum for UNPRI and the Aceh Regional Police to strengthen cooperation, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). This collaboration is an implementation of UNPRI's Sociotechnopreneurship vision to ensure that students understand legal practices based on justice, humanity, and local wisdom.
