How Aptitude and BMI Tests Help Students Determine the Right Higher Education Path

Medan – The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FKKG) and the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) held a campus campaign including talent interest tests and Body Mass Index (BMI) screenings for 300 students at SMA Kalam Kudus on Tuesday (Feb 24, 2026). This activity is part of UNPRI's efforts to provide health education while introducing its healthcare and psychology programs to prospective students.

The FKKG UNPRI team was led by Vice Dean Dr. dr. Irza Haicha Pratama, M.K.M., along with lecturers and medical staff. From the Faculty of Psychology, Dr. Lusinta Rehna Ginting, S.E., M.Psi. attended with her team to supervise the talent tests. This event was designed to help students recognize their interests and talents early on, especially those planning to pursue education in health and psychology.

The talent test helped students understand their potential and academic compatibility, while the BMI screening provided education on healthy lifestyles. "We want students to understand that choosing a major is not just about popularity, but also about suitability with interests, talents, and physical conditions. The health sector requires individuals who are not only intelligent but also physically and mentally fit," stated Dr. dr. Irza Haicha Pratama. Dr. Lusinta Rehna Ginting added that these tests are crucial as many students are often confused about their future choices.

FKKG UNPRI offers opportunities through superior programs such as Medicine and Dentistry, extending to Master's and Specialist levels. UNPRI has successfully achieved International Accreditation from Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (IAAHEH) for its Bachelor of Medical Education and Medical Professional Programs. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Psychology offers Undergraduate and Professional Psychologist programs covering mental health, clinical, educational, industrial, and social psychology—all supported by modern facilities and competent staff.
